Ashanti NPP raises issues with parliamentary ballot papers

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has raised issues with Parliamentary ballot papers supplied by the Electoral Commission to the Ashanti region.
According to the party, all the 47 constituency parliamentary ballot papers do not bear the initials of NPP as had been done with all other competing political parties.

The ballots for the region arrived in Kumasi on Sunday night and as custom demands, the EC invited representatives of the various political parties to inspect the papers Monday morning.

During the inspection however, the NPP's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako detected the "error" and raised issues with it.

He said apart from the logo printed on the ballot paper, there is no indication of the party to which the logo belongs.
He argued that, on the Notice of Poll issued by the EC, the party's initials - NPP - is clearly written under the logo
