PHOTOS: Bawumia enstooled as Nkosuohene of Assin Damang

2016 Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party has been enstooled as the Nkosuo hene (development chief) Assin Damang in the Central Region.

Known in private life as Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the newly installed Nkosuohene, with the stool name Nana Wadie Mfensi I was enstooled during his campaign tour of the Central Region.

Congratulating the newly coronated chief the chief of Assin Damang, Nana Kwabena Wadie II urged him to remain focused in the discharge of his duties as the running mate of the NPP flagbearer.

In front of hundreds of their subjects, the chiefs of Assin Damang said Nana Akufo-Addo’s running mate cannot be allowed to leave the area without making him a part of their society.

He charged Nana Wadie Mfensi I (Dr Bawumia) to work tirelessly to wrestle power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and redeem Ghanaians from the current hardships.
“I know NPP under Nana Addo and you can manage the economy because you have done it before and I'm sure you can do it again this time around” he said.

On his part, Dr. Bawumia (Nana Wadie Mfensi I) expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Assin Damang for the confidence and honour reposed in him.
He called on the community to vote massively for the NPP while assuring the people of his continuous commitment to bring more developmental projects as Nkosuohene
