Osafo Marfo raises red flags over late recruitment into security agencies

Leader of the Transition Team of the President-elect, Yaw Osafo Marfo, has raised red flags over the recruitment of some people into the various security agencies.

Mr. Marfo is also alarmed about moves by the government to regularize the employment of temporary staff of state agencies.
He told journalists covering the work of the Transition Team that such activities began moments after the Electoral Commissioner, Charlotte Osei, announced the NPP’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the President-elect of the land.
He wants the Chief of Staff of the outgoing government, Julius Debrah, to arrest the development and also ensure that all other major government decisions going forward are discussed before they are carried out.
The Transition Teams of the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and that of the outgoing President, John Dramani Mahama are in talks over the handing over of power from one administration (outgoing) to the another (in-coming).
The two team are currently in closed door meeting following their inauguration last Sunday, December 11, 2016
