Osafo Marfo leads NPP Transition Team

The presidential transition teams put in place to ensure a smooth handling over of power to the Akufo-Addo presidency was inaugurated yesterday by President John Dramani Mahama at the Accra International Conference Centre. 
The inauguration of the teams is in line with the Presidential Transition Act of 2012 (845).
 
The team is co-chaired by President John Dramani Mahama and president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
 
The NPP team is being led by Yaw Osafo Marfo, who is acting as the representative of the President-elect, whilst President John Dramani Mahama is represented by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.
 
Other members of the NPP transition team are Frema Osei Opare, Head of the Staff of Office of the President-elect; Gloria Akuffo, Member responsible for Legal Affairs; Ken Ofori- Atta, Member responsible for Finance and Ambrose Dery, Member responsible for the Interior.
 
The rest are Dominic Nitiwul, Member responsible for Defence; Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Member responsible for Foreign Affairs; Hajia Alima Mahama, Member responsible for Local Government and Albert Kan Dapaah, Member responsible for National Security.
 
The  NDC team is made up of Marietta Brew Appiah-Opong, Attorney General & Minister for Justice; Seth E. Terkper, Minister for Finance and Prosper Bani, Minister for the Interior, Benjamin Kunbour, Minister for Defence; Hanna  Tetteh, Minister for Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration and Alhaji Collins Dauda, Minister for Local Government & Rural Development.
 
The Head of the Civil Service, Head of the Local Government Service, Secretary to the Cabinet and National Security Coordinator are also part of the transition team.
