NPP’s Acting General Secretary, John Boadu says
there is no pressure on the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to name
his ministers.
He told NEAT FM’s morning show host,
Kwasi Aboagye that the seasoned politician has an “exceptional” way to run his
government - “Nana Addo has been in politics for so many years and has
served in Kufuor’s administration.”
“At the right time he will
consult the party’s highest decision-making body to name his ministers. He
[President-elect] has an idea of how to run his government so at the right time
he will name his ministers,” he said on NEAT FM’s morning
show ‘Ghana Montie’.
President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, postponed
the presentation of a list of proposed ministers who will serve in his
government to his party’s highest decision-making body yesterday (Thursday)
after pleading with the party to ‘give him time’.
Speculations are rife
on who will serve in an Akufo-Addo's administration, and with a large pool of
experienced names to select from; the president-elect is spoilt for
choice.
Already some names are being circulated in the media as the first
batch of ministers who will form the new Cabinet – others are believed to be
lobbying to serve under Nana Addo’s administration.
