The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has called the bluff of the Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius
Debrah, after claiming his presence in the region has scuttled the campaign of
the NPP.According to Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, not even the president
and his vice can match him in terms of campaigning, least the Chief of
Staff.
Speaking at a press conference to formally welcome the founder and
failed Presidential Candidate of the United Progressive Party, Mr. Akwasi Addae
Odike, who has officially endorsed the candidature of Nana Akufo Addo, Chairman
Wontumi, as he is affectionately called, reiterated that no one can match him in
the region, stressing that he can handle both President Mahama and Vice
President Amissah Arthur without sweat.
According to him, bringing the
Chief of Staff to the Ashanti Region to campaign was one of the most politically
unwise decisions on the part of the NDC because "he does not carry any
weight"
"I am telling the NDC and the Chief of Staff that no matter what
they do, they can never have their way in this region as long as I am the
Chairman," he said. |
