The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has moved the
launch of its manifesto to the Trade Fair Centre in Accra. The party had
originally planned to launch the manifesto at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the
Northern Region on Saturday October 9.
But a source within the party has
hinted Graphic Online that the date has also been moved from Saturday, October 8
to Sunday, October 9, 2016.
Reasons for the change in venue and date was
not made known by the source.
The Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP,
Mr Daniel Bugri Naabu had earlier stated that the decision to organise the
manifesto launch in Tamale was based on the "massive" support the party
currently enjoys in the Northern Region, which is perceived to be a stronghold
of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
