Kick ‘Wahala’ NDC Gov’t Out Of Power - Bugri Naabu

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu has lamented over the economic hardship people of the north are experiencing under the current government.According to him, Ghanaians are suffering but residents of the North are worst hit by the government penchant for tariff increment coupled with the ailing National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Bugri Naabu is currently leading other opposition political parties in a demonstration against the government in the region.

The ‘Di Mi Ya’ meaning ‘times are hard’ demonstration was almost postponed by the police due to the president’s campaign tour of his home region.

Speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko, he charged Ghanaians to vote out the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December polls.

He complained that people in the region are unable to pay their wards school fees, accusing President Mahama of lacking vision to solve problems burdening the Ghanaian populace.

‘We are demonstrating because we are suffering, people in the Northern region are suffering. The hardship of the Mahama administration on Ghanaians is too much especially those in the Northern region. Hospital bills, light bills, water bills, school fees, we can’t pay, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is not working because of wahala government, we are pleading with them to solve issues bedevilling the ordinary Ghanaians, lot of workers, farmers cannot pay water bills, the demonstration is organised by all the political parties not only the NPP, we think that either John Mahama reduce or we will organise a press conference, …the only language he understands is demonstration, times are hard, the demonstration is on, if you can hear the noise at the background,‘ he explained.

Bugri Naabu assured that they will ensure that none of the protestors engages in any violent related act.

‘It’s a peaceful demonstration, no one is armed, we can control our people, we are moving to principle streets in Tamale,’ he said.

He urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the Flagbearer of the NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo in the December elections.
